Assurant Solutions provide more choice to consumers with new Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance Product for Simply Mortgages

Assurant Solutions Ireland Ltd, a company specialising in creating, underwriting and administering insurance protection products, has designed and underwritten a new Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance (MPPI) product for Simply Mortgages.

The new Mortgage Payment Protection Product offered by Assurant is the first available product of its kind on the market that gives consumers a choice in the level of cover they can choose from. A unique feature of the product allows consumers to purchase accident, sickness and unemployment (ASU) cover together or separately.

Robert McCarthy, Business Development Manager, Assurant Solutions said: “We believe the “one-size-fits-all” product no longer suits consumers needs and have adapted our products with today’s customers in mind. For example, should accident/sickness result in hospitalisation, we offer a benefit whereby cover will start from day 7 as opposed to day 30.”

It is offering a fresh approach to the market by unbundling this product and creating more flexibility for the consumer.
