Profit Gap Analysis Process (PGA)

What is a Profit Gap Analysis?

It is a systematic, on-site, in-depth analysis of a dealership designed to identify its strengths and weaknesses and offer solutions as to how to improve all areas within the dealership.

Who is involved in this process?

The Dealer, General Manager, Sales Managers, F&I Managers, Service Manager, Office Manager and one or two sales professionals and service writers.

What information will you need from my dealership?

Prior to the analysis, we will provide you with a list of the numbers needed, which can be generated from your financial statements.

How long does the analysis take?

The analysis will take place over the course of two (2) days and conducted in a manner that will not disrupt your dealership's normal business flow or require an investment of personal time.

What will my employees experience?

This analysis will be conducted in a low key, participatory manner. We will make every effort to have a positive impact on the flow of daily business. Our professionally-trained analysts will interview your team and observe the flow of activity in the F&I office, sales office and the service department.

How will the information be used?

The information will be used to establish enhanced objectives, comparative analysis, benchmark setting and accountability functions. Our analysts will also develop some observations and recommendations for your review. We will present these findings, along with a detailed report outlining potential growth opportunities, during our PGA presentation.

When will the PGA presentation take place?

The PGA presentation will be conducted anywhere between seven (7) and ten (10) days after we have gathered and interpreted all pertinent PGA data. During the presentation, our team will present the compiled information, results and potential enhancements for the respective departments. We will also explore the opportunities to combine the synergies of your dealership and Assurant Solutions to create a long-term "partnership" in Performance, Productivity and Profitability.
